Xbox’s Gamescom line-up to include Forza, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 and more

Gamescom is one of the biggest annual industry events, with all manner of developers and publishers taking to the convention to announce and show off their in-development titles. Following Microsoft’s announcement that Xbox will be present at Gamescom, insiders have now offered new details on some of the games attendees will be able to demo.

As reported by Tom Henderson via InsiderGaming, the leaker revealed that Xbox is set to go “all out” for Gamescom 2023. Taking place between the 23rd and 27th of August, Henderson offered up a small list of just some of the many games set to make an appearance at Xbox’s booth.

Those who are able to travel to Cologne for the convention will be able to try a whole host of unreleased games including but not limited to Forza Motorsport; S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl and Towerborne (from the team behind The Banner Saga trilogy).

Forza Motorsport is the next mainline entry in the sim racing series. Being developed by Turn10, the game is set to arrive on the 10th of October and will be the first game in the franchise to be developed exclusively for the Xbox Series X|S (and PC).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is the much anticipated and long-awaited sequel to the first person shooter franchise, set to release as an Xbox series X|S console exclusive. Developed by Ukraine-based studio GSC Game World, the title has received many delays due both to internal and external factors – which is what makes its reappearance so exciting.

Finally, Towerborne is an action-adventure game created by The Banner Saga developers Stoic, in which you take on the role of Ace, “born anew from the spirit realm with the skills, the grit and the determination to protect the people of the Belfry. With spirit companions fighting by your side, you are destined for battle.”

As mentioned, these are just 3 of MANY titles which will be available at Gamescom. With Sony confirmed to not be present at the upcoming event, Microsoft looks set to absorb a lot of the limelight. It will be interesting to see what other games show up.
