Street Fighter 6 closed beta announced

One of the most interesting and new aspects coming with Street Fighter 6 is the game’s new Battle Hub, bringing the close-knit fighting game community even closer with a centralised social hub. As part of Tokyo Game Show, Capcom announced that fans will be able to partake in a closed beta for Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub early next month.

Taking place from the 7th of October until the 10th, PS5, Xbox Series and PC players will all be able to get together and partake in some fighting action when the crossplay-compatible closed beta test goes live. Though the game is also coming to PlayStation 4, owners of the last-gen system will unfortunately be unable to access the beta.

Those who do gain access will be able to enjoy a great deal of content, with Capcom confirming that the beta will allow you to create a character; participate in Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Battle Hub Matches and Open Tournaments while also offering a Training Mode; a ‘Hub Good Shop;’ Extreme Battles; a Game Centre; Daily Challenges; and even a DJ booth and Photo Spot.

8 characters will be available to play as throughout the beta, namely: Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri and Ken, with Capcom releasing 6 stages to play on: Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, Carrier Byron Taylor, Tian Hong Yuan, The Macho Ring and Training Room.

Those who wish to sign up to the closed beta can do so HERE.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the Battle Hub? Is it an exciting innovation for the franchise? Will you take part in the beta? Let us know down below.
