Square Enix’s tactical RPG Triangle Strategy is coming to Quest VR

While VR as a platform has mostly been used to create first-person experiences, there have been a number of more notable unique VR titles. In a surprising announcement, the isometric tactical RPG from Square Enix ‘Triangle Strategy’ is coming to Meta Quest VR.

Making the announcement, the team at Square Enix said “Tactical RPG TRIANGLE STRATEGY comes to Meta Quest. The war-torn continent of Norzelia unfolds before your eyes. A stirring narrative riddled with difficult choices awaits, now as an even more immersive experience made possible with the power of VR.”

As mentioned, one of the more interesting aspects of this port is the fact that the game itself is an isometric RPG featuring pixel art characters – something you don’t see too often in VR.

That said, this port does make some sense, as it is able to emulate many real-world types of tactical Warhammer-styled board games in an immersive and unique way.

Triangle Strategy launches on Meta Quest on the 31st of October with a promotional price of £19.99 (typically £22.99).
