Phantom Blade Zero to get playable demo in 2024

During Sony’s PlayStation Showcase earlier this Summer the console manufacturer showed off a number of exciting new games. One of the standout titles was Phantom Blade Zero – an action heavy experience which features some of the most flashy and bombastic combat seen in a video game. For those who are not yet convinced as to whether the game will feel as good to play as it looks, the studio has now announced that a playable demo will be arriving next year.

As part of PlayStation’s 2023 ChinaJoy appearance, Phantom Blade Zero studio ‘S-GAME’ hosted a 40-minute long presentation covering the upcoming PlayStation 5 console exclusive.

While we still have no idea when the game itself will release, Phantom Blade Zero’s director confirmed that players will be able to get their hands on a 30-minute long demo sometime next year.

While somewhat odd to announce a demo so far in advance, those looking forward to Phantom Blade Zero will certainly benefit from getting hands-on with the ‘kungfupunk’ title. As mentioned, the combat showcased in previous trailers appears to be almost too good to be true, with players currently not knowing whether the game will feel as good to play as it looks.

As such, even though we will have to wait until next year, it is exciting and encouraging to know that the team are confident enough in their product to let potentially millions of people try the game before its release. Hopefully Phantom Blade Zero does not disappoint.
