NIS America announces game showcase

It has become commonplace for game publishers to host their own bespoke digital showcases containing nothing but their own new and upcoming titles. Such is the case with NIS America, having announced a showcase for next week.

Making the announcement via a teaser trailer, the game publisher said “Start your September off with a whole lot of NISA goodness! Mark  your calendars and tune in September 7, 2022 at 6:00 AM PDT / 4:00 PM BST for four new announcements, lots of updates, and an exclusive livestream post-showcase that will take a deep dive into the showcase contents.”

For the uninitiated, NIS (Nippon Ichi Software) America is known best for bringing Japanese franchises to the West, including the Atelier series; Sakura Wars; The Legend of Heroes; Danganronpa and more.

Alongside the four unannounced titles expected at the showcase, NIS America did confirm other games set to make an appearance, namely:

  • Raiden IV X Mikado Remix
  • NIS Classics Volume 3
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero
  • Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief
  • Yomawari: Lost in the Dark
  • Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

NIS is responsible for a whole host of different games and franchises and so it will be interesting to see what the 4 mysterious NIS America games end up being. The 2022 NIS America game Showcase will start at 4PM BST and will last roughly 30 minutes, at which point the publisher’s post-show livestream will begin.
