Long-time Logan voice actor Steve Blum may return to role in Insomniac’s Wolverine

While fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games, some have been looking further forward into the future, in particular at the studio’s previously announced Wolverine game. Though details are incredibly light at the moment, a new post by long-time Wolverine voice actor Steve Blum seems to hint at his involvement in the upcoming game.

As reported by TheGameSpoof, fans have started to speculate that Insomniac Games’ Wolverine will be played by Steve Blum – known best for having voiced Logan in multiple Marvel productions in the past.

This comes in the wake of a post by Blum on Instagram which shows the actor geared up in a motion and facial capture suit, explaining how he is involved in a video game – though he did not say which due to non-disclosure agreements.

With how closely associated Blum has been to the X-Men and Wolverine in particular, it would not be surprising to see Insomniac Games bring the actor into the fold. All that said, it will probably be a while before we get any official confirmation, especially as Insomniac Games is currently hard at work on Spider-Man 2, which is set to come out later this year.

For Insomniac’s Spider-Man, the team opted to hire Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker – a newcomer to the iconic role. It will be interesting to see what the mentality behind bringing back Blum is – assuming of course that he is indeed returning as Wolverine. We will have to wait and see.
