Forza Horizon 4 will not be delisted “anytime soon”

One issue which many video game developers have come across at some point is the need to delist their games from digital stores due to expiring licensing agreements. One of the biggest culprits of this are racing games. That being said, despite Forza Horizon 1, 2 and 3 being delisted for this reason, Microsoft has claimed that Forza Horizon 4 will not be removed “anytime soon.”

October 2022 marks the 4th anniversary of Forza Horizon 4. With previous Forza games, their 4th anniversaries also represented the time when the games would get delisted from digital storefronts due to expiring licenses.

Discussing this on the game’s online forum (in response to fears from fans), a Forza representative qualmed these fears, saying “Hey everyone, no need to worry, we’re not planning on delisting Forza Horizon 4 anytime soon!”

Each new entry in the Forza Horizon series takes players to entirely new locations, with the 4th game being set in the UK. The latest entry, Forza Horizon 5, is set in the wholly different nation of Mexico, and so to be able to play both Horizon 4 and 5 is encouraging.

It is a shame however that such a deal couldn't be struck for the previous games in the series. Maybe in the future,
