Fortnite x One Piece collaboration has leaked

Fortnite is no stranger to anime crossovers, with the Epic juggernaut having crossed over with many of the biggest names in anime including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia and more. Interestingly, perhaps the biggest anime of all time – One Piece – has not been added to the game…yet. According to one leaker, Luffy and the crew are coming to Fortnite soon.

As claimed by known industry leaker ‘Shpehal Nick’ via the Xbox Era podcast (and reported by reliable Fortnite insider ShiinaBR), One Piece is set to be crossing over with Fortnite “soon”.

No further details were shared, meaning we do not know the extent of the collab (and whether this will be a simple case of offering skins or more of an actual gameplay-affecting collaboration), but considering One Piece’s ever-increasing popularity, it will hopefully be rather substantive.

As mentioned, Fortnite’s crossovers have historically come in one of two forms: either being a simple matter of bringing a franchise’s characters into the game via skins (such as what we saw with Naruto) or a much more closely aligned crossover which could have implications for the Fortnite island itself and its gameplay – like with Dragon Ball Z and Spider-Man.

It will be interesting to see what the full extent of the One Piece collab ends up being.
