First real photo of PSVR 2 headset leaks

Sony have been hyping up their upcoming PSVR 2 headset for quite a while now. Despite this, the lengthy marketing campaign has yet to include any third parties getting their hands on the system. It seems that hands-on impressions may be coming soon, as one individual let it slip, giving our first real photo of the headset.

In a now deleted tweet (though archived HERE), we are able to get our first look at the PSVR 2, its controllers and the necessary cables which will be provided in the box.

As can be seen from the photo, the PSVR 2 headset connects to the PS5 using a single USB-C cable which appears to not be braided in any manner – which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation and so should ultimately be a non-issue.

Though it is quite difficult to make out, it is most likely that the two other cables are for charging each of the VR controllers, though it will be interesting to see whether the both cables will be USB-A to USB-C, especially given the console’s I/O ports.

One thing’s for certain, you’ll need a lot of space to avoid smacking those extra bulbous controllers against a wall. Hopefully they’re built to last; we’ll have to wait and see.
