Fallout London mod delayed due to FO4’s next-gen patch

Fallout 4 was announced to be getting a next-gen (now current-gen) update back in 2022. With little in the way of any updates during this time, the team at ‘FOLON’ have been working diligently on a massive total conversion mod for the game – Fallout London. Planned to release in just a few weeks on the 23rd of April, the mod has now been delayed due to the awkwardly-timed release date for the Fallout 4 next-gen update.

Making the announcement via their YouTube channel, Team FOLON revealed that their planned 23rd of April release date for Fallout London has now been pushed back due to the recently announced release date for the base game’s PS5/Series X and S update (25th of April).

Fallout London was first announced in 2019, and so the timing of this clash is unfortunate indeed. That said, this delay is preferable to the alternative, with Fallout London releasing right before the update – and being broken as a result of the patch.

For the uninitiated, Fallout London is described as a DLC-sized mod, taking the franchise outside of the USA for the first time. The mod has been designed with lore considerations in mind, meaning it should not clash with Bethesda’s official Fallout titles.

Additionally, Fallout London is said to introduce a new map the size of Fallout 4 – alongside 5 small areas which combine to be the size of Fallout 4’s largest DLC ‘Far Harbour’.

Fallout London is by far the most exciting mod coming to Fallout 4, and so despite the extra waiting time, it will hopefully be worth it.
