Elden Ring board game announced

Many of FromSoftware’s previous titles have been translated into board game formats, with the likes of Dark Souls and Bloodborne both getting their own board games. As such, it is unsurprising to hear that Elden Ring – by far FromSoftware’s most successful game to date – will also be getting its own board game.

Announced via Kickstarter, few details regarding this Elden Ring board game have been announced, aside from the fact that the game is being created in partnership with Steamforged Games – a common collaborator with video game developers – having been responsible for the likes of Dark Souls – The Board Game; Resident Evil – The Board Game; Horizon Zero Dawn – The Board Game and Monster Hunter World: The Board Game.

As mentioned, we currently know very little about the Elden Ring board game, however early reactions from fans have been somewhat skeptical due to the inconsistent nature of Steamforged Games’ portfolio.

Still, the idea of an Elden Ring board game is tantalising and so hopefully the team at Steamforged Games do not fall into previous failings and are able to make the Elden Ring board game their best one yet.
