Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero reportedly coming to Switch 2 at launch

In the months between the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 and the console maker’s upcoming blowout showcase, we’ve heard whispers regarding some of the games which could be coming to Nintendo’s sequel console. According to one report, the highly-successful Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is planned to be a launch title for Switch 2.

As reported by known industry insider eXtas1s (and translated by Reddit user ‘TheVideoGameNutt’), Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is coming to Switch 2, with the insider claiming “Launch would happen alongside the debut of Nintendo's new console.”

Given the fact that Sparking Zero sold over 5 million copies in under 4 months, perhaps this isn’t too surprising.

EXtas1s previously reported on the planned Switch 2 port for DOOM: The Dark Ages, though claimed at the time: “Nintendo has not given the green light to all its partners to present their titles, especially those that would be exclusive to the Switch 2.”

With the Switch 2 direct set to go live in just about two weeks’ time, we will likely begin to hear an increasing number of details surrounding what to expect. That said, hopefully Nintendo will still have a couple surprise cards up their sleeves.
