Disco Elysium: The Final Cut announced

Last night Geoff Keighley took to the virtual stage to present the 2020 Game Awards. Alongside the awards ceremony itself, as is typical, a number of games were announced including the console release of last year’s critically acclaimed Disco Elysium. That’s not all however, as PC players will also enjoy the benefits of new content and improvements in ‘The Final Cut’.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is described as “the definitive edition of the smash-hit RPG”. This enhanced version will include “New political vision quests, more characters,” with the biggest addition being “full voice-acting for everyone.”

The release of The Final Cut will coincide with the game’s console release; coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in March 2021. The game will also be coming to Xbox and Switch, though exact details on their respective release dates is currently unknown.

Disco Elysium surprised many when it released last year, taking home 4 awards at the 2019 Game Awards, including ‘Best Narrative’ and ‘Best RPG’, and scoring a 91 on Metacritic. While it was already confirmed that the game would make its way to consoles eventually, it is nice to see that not only will new content be coming, but current owners of the game will receive the update at no extra cost. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is coming in March 2021.
