Dead by Daylight is finally getting cross-progression

In the age of constantly evolving and updating live-service titles, it has become almost a necessity for such games to feature some form of cross play / cross-progression. Despite amassing an audience of over 60 million players, Dead by Daylight had not featured any form of cross-progression…until now.

Making the announcement on their blog, the team at Behaviour Interactive revealed that cross-progression is finally coming to Dead by Daylight, saying:

“Set to go live on July 22nd, Cross-Progression allows players to sync their Dead by Daylight progress across all available platforms (with select exceptions).”

In order to enable cross-progression, you will need to have a Behaviour Interactive account, at which point you can then enable cross-progression in Dead by Daylight.

In a welcome move, unlike some games’ cross-progression *cough cough Destiny cough cough* all versions of Dead by Daylight will not only include cross-progression, but also manages to maintain a shared inventory across systems; shared currencies and even shared DLC.

The only exceptions to this is the fact that Xbox One players are not included in the cross-progression plans – and the Switch specifically does not offer shared currencies or DLC.

While it may have taken a while to arrive, the route that Behaviour Interactive have opted to take with DBD’s cross-progression is a welcome one indeed.
