Bluepoint Games teases next project

Bluepoint Games helped kick off the launch of the PlayStation 5 with their excellent remake of the 2009 FromSoftware classic Demons Souls. Since then, the team have been relatively silent – until now, with us getting our first tease towards their next title.

As part of the Seasonal celebrations, Sony – via the PlayStation Blog – released a whole host of Christmas cards from studios across the globe, both internal to PlayStation and 3rd party publishers.

The list of participating studios and publishers is impressive, and includes the likes of Activision; Bandai Namco; Square Enix; Sucker Punch Productions; Konami; Media Molecule; SEGA; Guerilla Games; Naughty Dog and so many more.

While most of the cards are cute but innocuous, the holiday card released by Bluepoint Games teases that the announcement for their next project may occur sooner rather than later. The card shows four different presents next to a Christmas tree with three open and one yet to be.

The three open presents had within them a shield (Demons Souls), the Ancient Sword (Shadow of the Colossus) and the Leviathan Axe (God of War: Ragnarök).

While Bluepoint Games did not develop God of War Ragnarök, they did assist with its creation, and so all three opened presents represent the team’s three most recent titles, with the fourth present temptingly waiting to be opened; hopefully in 2023.
