Ferrari by Logic3 T350 Headphones Review

The Ferrari by Logic3 T350 headphones offer good performance and feature a very attractive and upper-class style.

Performance of the T350 headphones was good. Using them to listen to a variety of genres was a pleasant experience which didn't alert us to `any major weaknesses with a particular category of music. There was a clear balance between the treble of an artist or composer's voice and tones being created by background instruments or effects.

While the overall performance was good and well-balanced, there were a few occasions where we would have liked some extra bass to liven up our listening experience. This was only the case for some heavy rap, hip hop and rock & roll songs, though.

Comfort is a clear positive aspect for the T350 headphones. Despite the set's large – 334g – weight, Logic3 has managed to implement an effective headband design that distributes the force away from one's ears. A soft, leather-covered foam material wrapped around the headband also ensures that it doesn't cause the top of one's head to experience any sort of discomfort.

The ear pads can also be thanked for the T350's comfort. At 90mm in diameter, the soft, leather-topped foam pads create a comfortable medium upon which one's ear lobes can rest without discomfort. A 50mm internal gap allows a user's main ear section to remain close to the 40mm drivers and away from the areas which cause heat issues by clamping against the side of one's head.

Noise isolation performance of the T350s was very strong, thanks in large to the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology which has been implemented. However, the ANC did have an irritating caveat – its low-level background noise. This quiet humming sound wasn't an issue when listening to most genres of music, but it did have a slightly negative effect when listening to classical music with areas of silence.

Style and design are where the Ferrari by Logic3 Cavallino Collection's T350 headphones set themselves apart. An elegant black and chrome colour scheme is exquisitely complimented by the high quality materials and, of course, iconic ‘Cavallino Rampante' logo. Crafted metal arms and high quality leather coverings ensure that the T350 headphones are not only attractive, but also rugged enough to withstand regular usage.

Currently available for £269.99 from Selfridges, or £299.00 directly from Ferrari by Logic3's website, it is clear that the inclusion of the Italian car manufacturer's iconic stallion badge forces you to pay extra for the Ferrari T350 headphones. On the other hand, if these headphones are to appeal to a person who buys their cars from the same company, price is unlikely to be an issue.

The Ferrari by Logic3 Cavallino Collection's T350 headphones offer good music playback performance and excellent noise isolation. Style and comfort are also clear strengths for this £299 set of headphones which is intended to make a statement.

While there will be better performers at a similar price, we can't deny that the T350 is an elegant, stylish and comfortable pair of headphones that oozes quality. If style and comfort are key parameters for your next set of headphones, Ferrari by Logic3's T350s are worthy of consideration, provided you have the budget. If all-out performance is what you're after and the prancing stallion badge is of little interest, there may be other options that will better suit your needs.

Pros:

  • Very good noise isolation.
  • Elegant design.
  • Comfortable for extended periods of time.
  • In-line microphone with remote control for Android and Apple devices.
  • High quality carry bag included.

Cons:

  • Expensive.
  • Not very portable, even with the carry bag.
  • Low-level humming sound from the ANC technology can be irritating.

KitGuru says: A comfortable, stylish and elegant pair of headphones that offers good performance. Hard to justify for many customers, but the upmarket design and Ferrari badge may be enough to warrant some people's money.
