Asus Transformer Pad TF300T Android Tablet Review

The battery life of the Transformer Pad isn’t the best we’ve experienced on a tablet and it does lag a fair way behind the iPad as we only managed a shade less than eight hours of usage during our tests.

However, the TF300T has a trick up its sleeve as the keyboard dock has a built in battery, albeit slightly smaller than the one integrated into the tablet itself.  This second battery charges up the tablet when it’s docked and the two batteries can be charged together.  We achieved a battery life of about twelve and a half hours with the dock attached which isn't far short of the 15 hours Asus claim.

For a lot of the test we were streaming video from the internet so we expect it would last much longer with less demanding tasks and when Wi-Fi is turned off.

During our tests we ran some quite power hungry scenarios on the tablet and we didn’t notice any issues with heat at all.  The tablet only became warm to the touch under the most demanding of these scenarios.

  1. great looking tablet computer. I love it. I have owned one now for a few months and cant be without it.

  2. Im not so keen on these, they are a botched job. people either want a tablet or a laptop, not both in this hybrid design. just my 2 cents
