Asus have chosen to use Nvidia's Tegra 3 chip to power the Transformer Pad TF300T. This boasts four cores and provides more than enough performance to ensure a great user experience.
There is an app called TegraZone gaming preinstalled on the tablet which directs us towards a series of games that are optimised for Tegra 3.
We tried out a couple of these games including ‘Heroes Call' and they performed very well indeed, showing the power of the Tegra 3 platform.
Other specifications include 1 GB of RAM and a choice between 16 and 32 GB inbuilt storage capacities. Asus also provide 8 GB of online storage space with the tablet which can be accessed through the Asus MyCloud app. There is a micro SD slot in the side of the tablet should you want to expand the storage and there's also a full size SD card reader in the keyboard dock.
Hardware Performance
We were reasonably impressed by the performance of the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T in our tests. It's clear that the Tegra 3 processor is very capable and the tablet showed comparable performance to its bigger brother, the Transformer Prime.
great looking tablet computer. I love it. I have owned one now for a few months and cant be without it.
Im not so keen on these, they are a botched job. people either want a tablet or a laptop, not both in this hybrid design. just my 2 cents
