Far Cry 6 is finally heading to Steam this month

Ubisoft has been slowly returning to Steam over the last year. Major releases like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion have already made their way over, but some other big games are still missing, including Far Cry 6. That will be changing soon, with more Ubisoft titles heading to Steam over the next couple of months.

The rollout will kick off on the 11th of May with Far Cry 6 finally heading to Steam. The game was already available on PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store, but now it will also be available through Steam, which continues to be the most popular launcher amongst PC gamers.

As discovered last month, a few other Ubisoft games will also be heading to Steam soon, including Riders Republic on the 8th of June, Rainbow Six: Extraction on the 15th of June and Monopoly Madness on the 22nd of June. All four games Ubisoft is bringing to Steam over the next 8 weeks already have Steam Store pages.

Ubisoft announced its return to Steam quite some time ago, but the publisher has been a little slow in bringing its games over. This isn't uncommon, as it also took some time for EA to bring the majority of its library back to Steam after spending most of a decade off of the platform.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft needs to do whatever it can to boost its sales at the moment, as the publisher's financial situation has been taking a turn. Do you think a return to Steam will help?
