Edifier launches GM5 true wireless earbuds with aptX audio

Edifier is looking to shake up the earbud scene this year with its own AirPod competitors. The Edifier GM5 earbuds are aimed at the gaming market, packing aptX adaptive audio decoding and up to 32 hours of battery life.

The Edifier GM5 earbuds feature the latest Bluetooth v5.2 wireless connectivity, the Qualcomm QCC3046 chipset and aptX adaptive audio decoding. Combined, these features produce high quality signal transmission with minimal interruptions and ultra-low latency, making these good earbuds for music/entertainment as well as gaming.

These earbuds include Environmental Noise Cancelling (ENC), ensuring clear communication through the dual microphones while on calls. Each earbud also has a tough interface, so users can swipe or tap to switch between EQ profiles, play/pause/skip music or answer/suspend phone calls. Here are the full specifications:

Sensitivity 98dB
Driver size Φ12mm
Frequency response 200 – 20,000Hz
Impedance 32Ω
Wireless connection Bluetooth v5.2

Thanks to low power consumption, the GM5's are rated for eight hours of playback time. The carrying case can provide an additional 32 hours of battery life. In the box, you'll find a USB Type-C charging cable.

The Edifier GM5 earbuds are available now for $69.
