The RHA SA950i headphones utilise high-quality components to deliver a wide range of relevant sound outputs that result in an excellent music-playback experience.
The SA950i's 40mm Titanium-coated Mylar drivers deliver excellent sound quality when paired with the unit's Neodymium magnets. The set's range of tones was impressive. RHA's ability to effectively balance the levels of bass and treble was also superb.
Listening to all types of music is very enjoyable with RHA's SA950i headphones.
Comfort is another positive for the SA950i headphones. The unit's ear cups' orientations and positions are adjustable by a good degree, making a comfortable fit a possibility for most users. Soft foam in the headband ensures that the top of a user's head doesn't get scratched or irritated during usage.
While the headphones' comfort may have been very good, the amount of time taken for our ears to heat up to an annoying level was disappointingly short. We would put this down to the ear cups' tight fit and the miniature ear pads which confine space around the ear area. We didn't reach the point where discomfort forced us to remove the headphones, but some cool air was a welcomed break to our overheating ears.
Speech-recognition by the in-line microphone was crystal clear throughout our testing. The input functions positioned on the microphone unit were also very convenient, especially when skipping past that undesirable song that always manages to sneak its way into one's favourite playlist.
Being able to adjust system volume and answer a call via the buttons are functions that are to be expected from a pair of headphones of this calibre.
A lightweight, non-intrusive design and set of dimensions make the RHA SA950i headphones a great choice for on-the-go users. Their ruggedness allows them to be carelessly thrown inside a rucksack or handbag without causing catastrophic damage.
Priced at £49.95 directly from RHA, or via the company's Amazon store, we feel that the SA950i headphones offer good value.
With excellent audio quality, a lightweight design and an elegant style, RHA has engineered a commendable set of headphones in the SA950i. Some slight design tweaks to reduce the rate at which one's ears heat up would be a recommended update. If you are in the market for a sub-£50 pair of headphones, you won't be disappointed by the RHA SA950i headphones.

wow, never heard of these guys, those look fantastic!
I am ordering these at the weekend, they look beautiful. love the styling. thanks. Ideal for my MP3 player on the move too.
They look a little like the beats phones for mobile. probably better. I agree, they look very appealing indeed.
Nicely detailed review Luke, good info.
Thanks for a great review. These look great. Any idea if they will work on a Nokia Lumia 920? RHA themselves are not sure. Thanks
I asked your question directly and they have replied “the SA950i’s (and the MA450i earphones) are ‘Made for iPhone’ so offer full functionality with recent Apple products. Some call and music control is offered on Android and other smartphone devices, however, this functionality is dependent on all of model, generation, software as well as which applications are installed; as I’m sure you can appreciate, we therefore can’t guarantee full functionality on the Nokia Lumia 920.”
Never heard of them, checked out their website after this review. excellent looking products at decent price points. thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for trying, it is the same answer that RHA gave me. If I get the opportunity I will try it out and post the results.
