Valve is now sells refurbished Steam Deck OLED models starting at £389

Looking to enter the world of handheld PC gaming without breaking the bank? Valve has just added refurbished Steam Deck OLED models to its store, offering a more affordable way to acquire one of these.

Previously, only the standard Steam Deck was available in refurbished condition from Valve's store. But now, gamers can get a refurbished Steam Deck OLED with a 512 GB SSD for just £389/$439/€459 or a 1 TB model for £459/$519/€549. That's a significant saving compared to their brand-new counterparts, which go for £479 and £569, respectively.

Valve assures that these refurbished units, typically customer returns, undergo rigorous inspection and testing to ensure they're functionally identical to new devices. The only difference you might notice is some minor usage marks and scratches on the casing, but the screens themselves are pristine. And if you're worried about potential issues, Valve offers the same warranty and support for refurbished Steam Decks as it does for new ones.

These refurbished OLED models are currently only available in the UK, Canada, Europe, and the US. Gamers in other regions will have to settle for new Steam Decks or explore third-party refurbished options.

KitGuru says: This is a good opportunity for gamers who have been eyeing the Steam Deck OLED but were hesitant due to its price. With a significant discount and the same warranty as a new device, a refurbished Steam Deck OLED offers an enticing entry point into the world of portable PC gaming.
