Valve discounts the Steam Deck to celebrate its first anniversary

It has been just over a year since the Steam Deck first launched and to celebrate the system's first anniversary, Valve is discounting it for the first time. As part of the ongoing Steam Spring sale, you can pick up a Steam Deck direct from Valve for 10% off.

The Steam Deck was released on February 25th, 2022. As such, its first anniversary was on that same day in 2023. However, it looks like Valve forgot the date and decided to celebrate three weeks later. The other hypothesis is that it pushed the celebrations to match the Steam Spring sale, which started yesterday.

Knocking 10% off the Steam Deck models' pricing, you could get the 64GB model for £314.10 (down from £349), the 256GB model for £413.10 (usually at £459), and the 512GB model for £512.10 (commonly available for £569).

All models come with a carrying case, but starting with the 256GB model, you also get an exclusive Steam Community profile bundle and NVMe storage instead of eMMC. In addition, the 512GB model includes an anti-glare etched glass, a different carrying case, and an exclusive virtual keyboard theme.

KitGuru says: On launch, availability of the Steam Deck was very limited, but that's not the case anymore. Waiting times have been reduced to up to two weeks, but the best part is you can get it for 10% off. If you were planning on getting one, now seems like a good time to do it.
