Ghost of Tsushima on PC is now region-free and Steam Deck verified

While Sony’s PC initiatives have been mostly a success, one of the biggest controversies with the console maker’s recent PC ports has been its use of region locking as a result of their integration with the PlayStation Network. Fortunately, Sony seems to be backtracking on this somewhat, with an update to Ghost of Tsushima on PC removing the region-lock requirements while also adding official Steam Deck verification.

Microsoft claims “our biggest competition isn’t another console” following Halo PS5 announcement

Following plenty of leaks and rumours, the Halo 1 Remake – Halo: Campaign Evolved – was finally announced to be coming to PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Being the core pillar of the Xbox brand, Halo’s arrival onto PlayStation has once again sparked up discussions regarding exclusivity. According to Xbox’s Matt Booty however, “our biggest competition isn't another console.”

Sony lawsuit reveals Tencent was also working on a Last of Us game alongside Horizon

Sony is currently locked in a legal battle with Tencent due to the latter’s announcement of Light of Motiram – an open world game which looks eerily similar to PlayStation’s Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West franchise. Previous revelations from the lawsuit included the fact that Tencent had previously pitched a Horizon game to Sony – which the console maker rejected. That said, this wasn’t the only potential project, with the two companies at one point planning to work on a new game based on The Last of Us.
