Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a massively important game for Ubisoft, with the publisher suffering from a long string of commercial disappointments and the fear of being absorbed into competing companies. Fortunately, for now Shadows seems to be doing what was needed – with the game having already surpassed 3 million players.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows seems to be doing all it can to help save Ubisoft from the hole it dug itself into, achieving the 2nd biggest launch in series history.

Despite being an already solid upgrade, the PS5 Pro version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will get further enhancements in a future update.

After a ton of waiting and many delays, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally here. While Ubisoft’s latest AC title may not be able to singlehandedly dig the publisher out of the hole it’s found itself in, initial response to the game appears solid, with the title having surpassed 1 million players in just a couple hours.

Ubisoft is betting a lot on Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Thanks to a number of less-than-stellar releases, controversies and the like, the publisher has been on the verge of being sold off for quite some time. Unfortunately, it seems as though – despite the added delays for increased polish – AC: Shadows is more or less just another Ubisoft title.

Despite its troubled development, Ubisoft has claimed that pre-order numbers for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are “solid” ahead of its launch on the 20th of March.

Ubisoft looks set to support the Switch 2 from the off with multiple titles – including two Assassin’s Creed games in 2025.

Years on from updating the likes of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey, AC: Syndicate has finally gotten a current-gen 60fps patch.

Following rumours, Ubisoft confirmed their upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity hub (Animus Hub) will be a completely free service when it launches next year.
