G.Skill launches Ripjaws DDR4 SO-DIMM kits

G.Skill has revealed its new line up of Ripjaws DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM kits, which will bring as much as 64GB of memory to supported notebooks along with speeds as high as 2800MHz. These components are hand picked from G.Skill's own selective binning process in order to ensure that every SO-DIMM kit can meet a high level of performance and more importantly, reliability.

One of the big features here is ‘auto-overclocking', which means when these kits are installed on supported systems, they can automatically boost speeds without you needing to go in to the BIOS to adjust things manually. Unfortunately, G.Skill hasn't specified what qualifies as a supported system but more information on that front should come soon.

Given that these kits will fit in to most laptops, energy efficiency is important. These DDR4 kits reduce power consumption to just 1.2v, which also lowers heat output, making for a better experience all around. Each kit will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants with speeds ranging from 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz and 2800MHz. Pricing information is also expected to arrive soon.
