Last year Intel signed a deal with Bloodhound to become their official IT Partner. Intel have been hard at work with the guys creating a high tech car which runs on ATOM processors.
Recently KitGuru sat and chatted with Alistair Kemp, Intels friendly PR Manager – he was keen to point out Intel's excitement regarding this project.
The concept was a fun idea from the start but it had a twin goal of helping to ramp up an education programme to take Bloodhound into schools and universities.
Today several milestones have been achieved.
- The BloodHound SSC car would feature Intel Atom processors that acted as part of the stability and control systems within.
- Intel have committed 26 volunteers from among their UK workforce to become Bloodhound Ambassadors, taking the programme to public events and into schools throughout the UK.
- The unveiling of the “BloodHound Experience”, a simulator designed to let members of the public experience what it takes to pilot a car which is designed to travel at over 1,000 mph.
Here are some videos courtesy of Intel which we think you will find entertaining.
