Intel to stop production of 25 desktop processors

Intel have notified their partners that they are stopping the supply and shortly the production of 25 (or more) desktop models. Taiwanese sources spoke to Kitguru a short while ago to confirm reports published on Digitimes today.

Intel have said they are stopping the supply of Celeron 450/430, Celeron E3500, Pentium G960, Pentium E5700, Core i3-530, Core i5-2300/680/670, Core i5-760/750S/655K, Core i5-661/660, Core i7-960/950/930/870, Core i7-875K/860S and will halt production completely in the near future.

Kitguru says: The plan is to focus on upcoming 22nm Ivy Bridge processors which are due to launch in April this year.
