LG expands OLED monitor line-up with new Ultrafine display

There are plenty of IPS, TN, and VA monitors out there to choose from. However, there are fewer OLED options for PC users. That is beginning to change and just like in the TV space, LG is leading the charge. There is a new Ultrafine series OLED monitor hitting the market, offering 4K resolution and HDR. 

The Ultrafine 27EQ850 has a 27-inch OLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, 4K resolution, and 1ms G2G response time. Capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colours, the 27EQ850 comes with a true 10-bit colour depth and is rated with 200nits of typical brightness and a 1M:1 contrast ratio. Due to its factory calibration, the monitor can cover 99% of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour gamuts.

Important features of the new LG monitor include Dynamic Action Sync, Pixel Dimming HDR, built-in KVM, HDR10 support and self-calibration (hardware). Available connection interfaces include an HDMI port, a USB-C 3.0 interface (with 90W PWand DP alt. mode), two DisplayPorts, three USB-A 3.0 interfaces and a 3.5mm audio-out jack.

The included stand is quite ergonomic, allowing the user to tilt, pivot and adjust the height. If that isn't enough, you can mount it to a 100x100mm VESA monitor arm. The monitor is now available in the US for $1999.
