Presentation leak shows January 10th launch date for new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs

AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X chips are expected to be introduced at CES 2023, but availability should also be just around the corner. According to leaked presentation slides, AMD's next wave of cheaper Ryzen 7000 desktop processors will land on the 10th of January. The slides may have also confirmed specs and pricing. 

The slides shared by VideoCardz show that all Ryzen 7000 non-X chips will have a 65W TDP. In addition, they also confirm the 12C/24T Ryzen 9 7900 can clock up to 5.4GHz and packs 76MB of cache. As for the Ryzen 7 7700, the 8C/16T chip can go up to 5.3GHz and has 40MB of cache. Lastly, the Ryzen 5 7600 is a 6C/12T CPU capable of clocking up to 5.1GHz with 36MB of cache.

The first slide also confirmed MSRP. As expected, the Ryzen 9 7900 will come in at $429, while the Ryzen 7 7700 will go for $329. The lowest-end chip, the Ryzen 5 7600, will put you back $229.

On the next slide, there's a comparison between the Ryzen 9 5900X and the Ryzen 9 7900 in different workloads. In gaming (1080p), AMD shared performance figures for DOTA 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Borderlands 3, CS:GO, and a few other titles. Overall, the unreleased processor outperformed the Ryzen 5000 series chip by 19%. In creator workloads such as POV-Ray, Arnold Renderer, Corona Render and V-Ray Render, the Ryzen 7000 chip was 25% faster than the Ryzen 9 5900X.
