Synology launch the DS2411+ for the hardcore enthusiast

Many of you will have already read our review today of the incredible new Synology Diskstation DS3611xs. This is one of their flagship models, for the business sector. Synology are also upgrading their lower ranges, and the DS2411+ is set to replace the DS1511+.

As can be seen, this model looks almost identical to the DS3611xs model, but it is cut down in a few areas. Firstly the read speed is said to be an average of 195 MB/s and 165 MB/s writing. It can scale up to 72TB with the Synology DX1211 and have VMware/Citrix/Hyper V Compliance. There are 2 LAN GB connections (not 4 as on the DS3611sx) with full link aggregation support. It should cost around the £1,200 price point, significantly less than the DS3611xs.

For those who want the ultimate ‘home' or office NAS, this looks to be top of the list. Full review will be published on Kitguru in the future.

Kitguru says: We reckon Synology are leading the way right now in the NAS sector.
