Patriot memory introduces the Viper PV573 PCIe 5.0 SSD

Patriot Memory has unveiled its latest addition to the Viper Gaming product line: the Viper PV573 PCIe Gen5 x4 M.2 2280 SSD. This new release builds on Patriot's previous PCIe 5.0 SSD, the PV553, bringing a faster alternative for users looking for even higher performance.

The Viper PV573 SSD uses 3D NAND vertical stacking technology to increase storage density while reducing power consumption, enhance read and write speeds, and improve the SSD's longevity. With 2 TB and 4 TB capacity options, the Viper PV573 will be available in two storage options to fulfil different users' needs.

Thanks to the PCIe Gen5 x4 controller and 232-layer TLC NAND technology, the Viper PV573 is fully compatible with the NVMe 2.0 standard. With read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and write rates of 12,000 MB/s, it outperforms the previous Gen 4 SSD standard by up to 2.8 times and Gen3 SSDs by up to 7 times. Notably, it is backwards compatible with PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 systems, allowing users to use it on older platforms.

The Viper PV573 SSD has Patriot's new cooling technology and an active fan design. The fan system, designed for Gen 5 SSDs, introduces cold air via a 16.5 mm aluminium alloy heatsink, promoting thermal convection and accelerating heat dissipation. This increases overall cooling efficiency by more than 40%.

Moreover, the Viper PV573 Gen5 x4 SSD incorporates robust data protection and error correction algorithms, significantly enhancing the longevity of NAND storage while maintaining data integrity and system stability. Its wear levelling technology extends the SSD's lifetime, while the 4K LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) error-correcting technology (ECC) ensures consistent performance even during prolonged, heavy-load operations. A five-year warranty backs the Viper PV573 SSD.
