Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti Dual Band Wireless Router Review (WZR-HP-AG300H)

Buffalo supply this router in a nice bright red cardboard box, which lists a few features on the front and a fair few more on the back.

The bundled accessories are what you would expect, a Ethernet Cable, AC Adapter, screws for wall mounting, and a USB Extension Cable. There is also a stand for the product.

Of course you do also get a CD, Quick Install guide  and a Warranty Statement.

The product itself seems to be of the fairly standard shape and design. The aerials can be positioned in many different ways and can even be rotated to offer the best coverage.

There are indication LED's at the front in the standard shapes to show you whether the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz wireless, amongst others, is on and transmitting. You can also see the stand in action, which just clips on to the bottom of the router.

The shiny sides gives the router an elegant look, but its going to show up any dust or fingerprints very easily. Of course, the blue ethernet socket is for the connection to the modem or directly to a computer for set-up. Above this there are 4 output Ethernet sockets, a USB 2.0 port, a USB eject button, and a router configuration selection switch.

This router supports Gigabit Ethernet and is dual-band allowing for 2 simultaneous wireless connections at the fastest N300 speed.

  1. Good review. What was the distance you tested from the router into your garden? Even a rough idea of meters would be helpful for me.

  2. Nice looking design that. I need a new one myself. I dont think the price is that bad considering, even though I know you can pick up cheap ones for under £50 inc vat.

    Seems like a good purchase.

  3. Looks good, but im happy with my netgear

  4. I think the price is very good actually considering the speeds.

  5. Distance is somewhere around 20 metres from the router I would of thought when I did the ‘test’ – but this is going through 2 walls as well so it is hard to compare/measure.
