Asus releases “next generation” gaming routers in the UK

Asus has just launched three new “next-generation” gaming routers with improved gaming performance in the UK. These routers are “fully compatible with UK ISPs”, offering a stable and fast connection throughout your home using WiFi 6.

The three routers include the ASUS RT-AX82U, the RT-AX86U, and the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000. All three routers feature WiFi 6 for improved connectivity, GameFirst tools to tweak your network to your liking, and are compatible with AiMesh ASUS routers, allowing you to use both simultaneously in your home network.

Starting with the RT-AX82U, this gaming router is the latest addition to Asus portfolio of routers. Featuring customisable Aura RGB and multiple gaming modes manageable through Asus Router App, this router is the perfect companion for your gaming console thanks to its sleek aesthetics and impressive performance.

The RT-AX86U is a refresh of the previously released RT-AC86U, offering improvements such as enhanced speeds through WiFi6, a “low profile design” and all the other features included with the RT-AX82U. Additionally, it also comes with an Nvidia GeForce Now recommendation.

For last, there's the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000. Back when it released, it was one of the first AX routers, which become “the most powerful router” in Asus' lineup. Capable of an outstanding 11000Mbps WiFi speeds and featuring a 4-core CPU, the Rapture GT-AX11000 is the perfect solution for “those who game, run servers or have a massively connected smart home”. For US customers, there's also the GT-AXE11000 model, which supports the recently released 6Ghz band for WiFi 6E.

These Asus routers are all available now. The RT-AX82U is priced at £179.99, while the RT-AX86U costs £229.99, and the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 goes for £379.99.
