Roccat KONE Pure Inferno Orange Review

The ROCCAT Kone Pure Inferno Orange ships in a predominantly black box with a clear image of the mouse on the front and some of its key features listed on the left.

The back of the box shows us a diagram with some more key features and the specifications in 9 different languages.

The front of the box is held closed with a small magnet. Inside we can clearly see the mouse in its protective molded plastic.

The box contains the mouse, a warning for gamers with sweaty hands and a quick start guide.

In terms of size the Kone Pure felt rather small in our average sized hands. ROCCAT claims its size is 91% of the Kone[+].

Moving to the front of the mouse we can see the DPI buttons and scroll wheel, as well as the two thumb buttons.

The area surrounding the scroll wheel and DPI buttons is the only area to have received a glossy finish, whilst the remainder of the mouse has received a rubberized finish.

On the left side we can see the ROCCAT brand name tucked away nicely towards the front of the mouse. The thumb buttons sit on the incline of the mouse, just above the thumb rest.

By default the back thumb button functions as the Easy-Shift[+] button, allowing users to quickly switch to a different button lay-out.

The back of the mouse is where we find the ROCCAT logo. This is also the only area of the mouse to have lighting.

The bottom of the mouse shows the Teflon feet. These have a slight bulge, reducing the level of friction between the mouse and mousepad.

To complete the look and feel of the mouse ROCCAT has customized the USB cable to reflect their logo and includes the brand name on both sides. The unique shape makes it very easy to find the cable at the back of a case, even in the dark.

The cable is fully braided to prevent snagging and tearing.

  1. An Orange mouse is wicked, not enough of these lovely colour schemes out there. Steelseries do a few mind you.

  2. Well I just jizzed my pants. thats sexy

  3. Their software is always buggy. my last experience was less than stellar. Not sure id recommend them myself.

  4. Fat bloke with beard

I love my Roccat, they last well. this is very pretty, almost made for girls.

  5. Its a great mouse with a great feature set. However it does feel smaller than my old razer mouse and does take some getting used to. I would suggest you find one and hold it in your hands before you part with your cash. Or if KitGuru could do a pic comparison with some full sized mice that would be very helpful.
