If I had any complaints about the Gamdias HADES, it is that some of its buttons (namely the side ones) do not feel built to the highest quality.
To be fair the mouse is a solid product but it does feel a little creaky- almost like it could have done with having its parts molded together a little better. This could be an unfortunate side effect of having magnetised, clip-on finger grips.
Additionally, the software feels a little extravagant and not as intuitive as packages from primary competitors.
Considering the many plus points we discussed earlier in the review the Gamdias Hades Extension laser does deserve a recommendation.
Certainly there are better mice available today, but almost all of them are much more expensive than the Gamdias HADES Extension. It features high DPI, good accuracy and a versatile stable of remappable buttons – all in a relatively comfortable package. The side grips were a nice touch, as well as the customisable lighting, even if it is only for the scroll-wheel surround.
Pros
- High sensitivity
- Accurate, smooth
- Customisable finger grips
- Plenty of remappable buttons
- Laser sensor so works on any surface
Cons
- Can creak if gripped tightly
- Side buttons feel a little flimsy
- Hard plastic is not as nice to the touch as some mice
KitGuru Says: The Gamdias HADES Laser extension is not going to blow you away, but it is a very solid performer at a very good price.
