Turtle Beach replaces Roccat with new Kone II mice

Turtle Beach has unveiled two new additions to its lineup of gaming mice. Based on the design of the Kone AIMO mouse from Roccat (acquired by Turtle Beach), the new wireless Turtle Beach Kone II Air and wired Kone II ergonomic gaming mice are now available for pre-order in black or white.

The Kone II Air and Kone II gaming mice prioritise ergonomic design to accommodate medium and larger hand sizes, catering to various grip types, including claw, palm, or fingertip. Both wireless and wired alternatives include additional grip tape for enhanced control and feature heat-treated PTFE feet for smooth movement across surfaces.

The Kone II Air and Kone II feature the Easy-Shift[+] duplicator technology, expanding the number of customisable functions to 21 and 23, respectively. The multi-function 4D scroll wheel offers free-spinning (exclusive to Kone II Air), tactile scrolling, and fully customisable tilt controls. Additionally, the mice use Turtle Beach's Titan optical switch technology, offering a tactile feel, a 100 million click life cycle, and a pre-tensioning mechanism for more precise clicks.

Furthermore, the mice support five onboard profiles and multi-zone RGB lighting, configurable via Turtle Beach Swarm II. For the wired version, the lightweight and flexible PhantomFlex cable prevents drag when moving the mouse. For added convenience, the wireless variant includes a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Moreover, the wireless Kone II Air offers enough battery life to last up to 350 hours using low-latency Bluetooth or up to 130 hours using its 2.4 GHz wireless connection.

Both mice are Nvidia Reflex compatible and deliver response times of less than 25ms. The two versions of the Kone II are now available for £59.99 (wired) and £119.99 (wireless), regardless of the colour option.

While the Kone gaming mouse used to sell under the Roccat brand, Turtle Beach absorbed the company months ago, replacing all Roccat peripherals with Turtle Beach branded variants of the most popular products.
