SteelSeries launches Prime Mini gaming mouse with optical switches

This week, SteelSeries is launching a new pair of compact gaming mice. Based on the same design as the SteelSeries Prime, the Prime Mini shrinks things down while retaining core features, such as PE optical switches. Better yet, the Prime Mini will also be available in wired and wireless form.

Both Prime Mini mice use Prestige OM switches featuring neodymium magnets for added durability (100M clicks) while also providing precise and fast clicks to improve your gaming experience. The mouse shell is made of ABS black matte plastic and was designed for right-handed users, as well as claw, fingertip and palm grip styles.

Both the Prime Mini and the Prime Mini Wireless use a TrueMove sensor, which was co-developed by PixArt to offer true 1-to-1 tracking and prevent the sensor from reading unwanted movements. Weighing about 61g, the Prime Mini has a maximum DPI of 18,000 and support for up to 50G acceleration. The Prime Mini Wireless is slightly heavier at 73g, and while it uses a slightly different TrueMove Air sensor, the specifications remain the same.

Both models include a super mesh USB-C cable that gives you a lighter feel when using it. The Prime Mini and Prime Mini Wireless mice are now available for £59.99 and £129.99, respectively.
