Cooler Master launches the lightweight MM720 gaming mouse

Cooler Master has launched a new lightweight gaming mouse weighing just 49g. The new MM720 features an ergonomic form factor and it will be available in four models: black glossy, black matte, white glossy, and white matte.

The form factor was inspired in the widely known Cooler Master Xornet and Spawn gaming mice, but instead of using an opaque housing, it features a honeycomb shell similar to the one seen in MM711. To further reduce drag, Cooler Master has added a sturdy lightweight ultra-weave cable. All this results in a mouse weighing 49g (USB cable not included) with the same ergonomic form factor that gamers enjoy.

Bryant Nguyen, peripheral general manager at Cooler Master, said that the love that the PC community still feel about the Spawn and Xornet mice was the reason that Cooler Master decided to make “an updated version”, that when summed up with the “lightweight factor”, creates a “must-have gaming accessory”. Cooler Master's push to offer lightweight gaming mice comes from the feedback that it has been receiving, resulting in a “varied portfolio of lightweight gaming mice” for all grip types.

Some upgrades that the MM720 includes are a 16000DPI optical sensor, PTFE feet for improved gliding, and added dust- and water-resistant material, certifying this mouse at IP58.

The first 30000 MM720 units manufactured will come with a Mice Grip tape included, offering more protection and control of your mouse. The anti-slip grip tape comes pre-cut with 0.75mm padding and it's ready to be applied. The Mice Grip will be available at a later date for $9.99.

The Cooler Master MM720 is now available for pre-order, priced at $49.99, and it will ship by October 27th.
