Gigabyte Force M9 ICE Mouse Review

Gigabyte supply the Force M9 ICE within an attractive packet consisting of a plastic inner box surrounded by an outer cardboard box for added protection.  A prospective customer can therefore see the mouse in its entirety without having to open up the box.

The reverse side of the box features a series of product images which illustrate various features of the mouse.  There are also some details about these features on the back.  Even though the packaging is quite lightweight, it should provide a good level of protection for the mouse inside.

Inside the packaging, the only bundled item aside from the USB wireless dongle is a pair of AA batteries for the mouse.  Yes, that means the mouse isn't rechargeable and you'll have to buy a replacement set of batteries when they run out.

  1. looks nicer than it is by the sounds of it. still good to see more competition. im actually in the market for a new mouse but am looking at the razer starcraft mouse.

  2. Unless you’re going Spanish, the 1st page should read IntroducTion, with a T.
Otherwise, i didn’t read the article. I’m saving money for Corsair M90. :d

  3. Hi, very nice review, could you tell me if the scroll wheel is continuous or intermittent so that it can it be efficiently used for changing weapons in FPS games? And if the mouse can function with only one battery? Thank you!

  4. Hi vlad, the scroll wheel is intermittent so that there are defined notches in it’s action which makes it very easy to select weapons etc. accurately. I wouldn’t recommend it for FPS gaming specifically though as there are better featured gaming mice out there for the price. Yes it does function with only one battery in – I assume this would half the battery life though!

  5. Thanks. I just bought one of these from MSY for $41. Pretty good price, considering ebay show them for $80ish
