The AOC G2460PQU ships in a brown box with some monochrome style images on the sides. Not the most attractive box artwork, but we are more concerned with the performance of the screen itself. The box weighs 6.1kg so its not that heavy to move around.
Inside, the bundle includes various cables including DVI, USB and a regional specific power cable. Our review sample had clearly been around the block as the cables were not packaged properly and the manual was found later stuck haphazardly to one of the Stryofoam pieces.
The AOC G2460PQU monitor comes with the stand attached to the back of the chassis. You only need to screw in the base, and this can be done by hand, without any tools. The black case is plain, but well constructed. It weighs 4.61kg and measures 565.4×403.05×219.3mm.
The stand is a 4 way adjustable design and the height can be adjusted by 130mm, with swivel left and right.
The screen can also be titled, and pivoted by 90 degrees simply by pushing on the screen itself.
The stand implementation really is first class and other manufacturers should take notice.
There are two speakers installed, rated at 2 watts each. As expected they are very weak and only really useful if you need system alert audio, or have nothing else at hand. Otherwise we recommend a dedicated pair of speakers or headphones. The stand can be removed if you want to mount the panel on a wall.
Some of you will be pleased to hear that the panel is controlled by physical buttons, aligned along the bottom right of the screen. This is very easy to use and didn't cause us any issues during testing.
No one could accuse the AOC G2460PQU of being svelte. It is a chunky screen, although this has some benefits as it looks (and feels) as if it could withstand some abuse over the years.
At the side of the screen are two USB 2.0 ports. One of them is marked with a charge icon – offering faster charge for mobile devices.
The AOC G2460PQU has plenty of connectors along the rear panels. There are two USB ports, a hub connector and a power on and off switch. Along the right side is a VGA, DVI and HDMI connector, along with a DisplayPort 1.2 connector. Only the DVI and DisplayPort connectors can offer the 1920×1080 resolution with a 144hz refresh rate. There is an audio line in connector to transmit audio when viewing the display on VGA or DVI.

I am going to order this at the end of the month – thanks 🙂
when using the display port you only get 60 hz at 1080p, did you miss this? hoping a firmware update can fix this as else i can only eyefinity at 60hz.
One gets their moneys worth with this monitor. I shall be buying this monitor for my new gaming rig. I find the built in USB ports a very unique and useful feature to plug in Mouse and Keyboard. Keeping things tidy as I have my tower in the floor to the side.
