AOC revamps G2 AGON gaming monitors with 165Hz IPS panels

AOC is back with a new set of G2 AGON gaming monitors. Unlike previous G2 series monitors, these new models offer 165Hz refresh rate, offering faster and more responsive gameplay.

There are four new AGON G2 monitors with the new 165Hz Fast IPS panel – the 24G2SPU, 27G2SPU, 24G2SPAE and the 27G2SPAE. Previously, the 24” 24G2U and its 27” sibling, the 27G2U, went on to become two of the best selling gaming monitors on the market. The revamped models will be hitting retailers from late March, equipped with ergonomic stands with height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments, making them ideal for multi-monitor setups.

The IPS panels used in all models offer Full HD resolution, making it easier to max out the 165Hz refresh rate on a wider range of gaming PCs. The panel also has a 1ms MRPT response time and Adaptive Sync support, so stuttering can be eliminated by using a variable refresh rate.

The 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU include a 4-port USB hub, enabling users to keep their desks clutter-free by plugging the keyboard and mouse directly into the monitor. The cheaper 24G2SPAE and 27G2SPAE are identical spec-wise, but remove the USB hub. All four monitors offer a VESA mount option for those who prefer to use their own monitor arm.

The AOC GAMING 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU will be available from late March/April 2022, priced at £199.99 and £245.99 respectively. The AOC GAMING 24G2SPAE and 27G2SPAE will be available from July 2022, priced at £179.99 and £224.99.
