AOC launches G2 Esports Signature Edition monitor with 144Hz and FreeSync

AOC has been a long-time supporter in the esports space, often sponsoring events and partnering up with different teams. This time around, AOC is kicking things up a notch with the G2590PX/G2 gaming monitor, created in collaboration with G2 Esports.

Given that this is a monitor geared towards highly competitive play, it comes with everything you would expect. That includes a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and FreeSync support to remove screen tearing. The panel itself is TN and measures in at 24.5-inches diagonally. It also sports a 1080p resolution, making it easier to take full advantage of that high refresh rate.

G2 Esports has made a name for itself during tournaments for a number of games across Europe, including CS:GO, League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and others. This new monitor from AOC will be branded with the G2 Samurai art, as you can see in the image above.

The monitor itself is of course based on the AOC G90 series, which has the same ‘frameless' design and high refresh rate. We have already reviewed the G2590PX that this monitor is based on, so if you want a closer look at how it holds up to the competition, then you can find that HERE.

The G2 edition of this monitor will start shipping this month, with an MSRP of £329.

KitGuru Says: Making the jump to a high refresh rate monitor is always a game changer, especially in competitive titles. Are any of you looking into getting a monitor upgrade any time soon?
