AOC and Porsche Design team up for 170Hz Agon Pro gaming monitor

Back in 2020, AOC and Porsche Design extended their partnership beyond office monitors and into high-end gaming displays. This week, the pair revealed their latest creation – the Porsche Design AOC Agon Pro PD27S, which packs 1440p at up to 170Hz, 1ms response time and HDR in a stylish package.

The exclusive design of the PD27S is coupled with a high-grade IPS panel, with 10-bit colour and coverage of 95% of the DCI-P3 and 99% of the sRGB colour gamuts. The monitor is also DisplayHDR 400 certified, so you can watch HDR content, or turn on HDR in supported games. The panel has a 165Hz native refresh rate, but you can overclock it to 170Hz.

Like the previously released PD32M, the new PD27S has a functional design, with a sandblasted aluminium cast stand to keep the display sturdy, while also offering height, swivel and tilt adjustments. On the back of the monitor you'll find RGB lighting, which you can customise to add some ambience to your gaming setup, or you can switch it off if preferred.

The PD27S is not only a gaming monitor, but a high-end all-rounder. Equipped with a 4-port USB 3.2 hub, external devices such as keyboards, mice or external drives can be connected quickly and easily, reducing cable clutter and giving every desk a clean and functional layout. If you don't have your own speakers, or headphones, then you'll be able to rely on the monitor's dual 5W speakers with DTS audio.

The Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD27S is available now, priced at £440.
