Samsung unveils Odyssey Neo G7 and G4 monitors at Computex 2022

At Computex 2022, Samsung is introducing three new monitors – the new 25 and 27-inch G4 monitors, as well as the Odyssey Neo G7, a “cut-down” version of the Odyssey Neo G8 with a 165Hz refresh rate.

Both the G4 monitors have the same specifications, except that one has a 25-inch screen, and the other has a 27-inch one. Both use FullHD IPS panels with 240Hz refresh rates and 1ms response times. With 400nits of brightness and an 8-bit colour depth, the G4 can cover 99% of the sRGB gamut.

Besides supporting AMD Freesync Premium and being compatible with Nvidia G-Sync, these two Samsung monitors also pack other features. These include Adaptive Picture, Auto Source Switch +, Black Equalizer, flicker-free technology, multiple colour modes, low-blue light, low input lag mode, Refresh Rate Optimizer, Ultrawide Game View and Super Arena Gaming UX.

The included stand is quite versatile, allowing you to tilt, swivel, pivot and adjust the height. Connectivity options available in these monitors include 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Out of the three, the Odyssey Neo G7 (S32BG75) is the highest-end option, using a 32-inch curved (1000R) VA panel with 4K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the 12-bit panel features a Quantum Mini LED backlight with 1,196 local dimming zones, offering up to 1000nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and 95% DCI-P3 coverage.

Certified for HDR10+ and HDR10+ Gaming, the monitor also has a Quantum HDR 200 rating and supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. Moreover, it features Adaptive Picture, Auto Source Switch +, Black Equalizer, PiP, Low Input Lag, Eco and Game modes, Refresh Rate Optimizer, Ultrawide Game View and Super Arena Gaming UX.

The monitor has an Infinity Core Lighting system with CoreSync to match RGB colour across your setup. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, 2x USB-A 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The included stand allows you to swivel, tilt, pivot to both sides and adjust the height.
