MSI’s excellent 321URX QD-OLED gaming monitor now comes in white

MSI has unveiled a new addition to its QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup, the MPG 321URXW. But don't expect any groundbreaking changes; this latest model is essentially a white version of the existing MPG 321URX, focusing on aesthetics rather than a significant spec bump.

The MPG 321URXW retains all the key features of its black variant, including the 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, and a 3-year burn-in warranty. It also inherits the software update functionality that sets the MPG series apart from the more budget-oriented MAG series. Connectivity options remain unchanged, with a KVM switch and a USB-C port with up to 90W power delivery.

While the white aesthetic might appeal to some users, the MPG 321URXW's lack of significant upgrades raises questions about its value proposition, especially considering the recent launch of the MPG 322URX.

For those who don't know, the 322URX is a refreshed version of the black MPG 321URX model, boasting full-bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1 support, a feature that's becoming increasingly important for next-gen GPUs. With a price difference of only around $70 between the 321URXW and the 322URX, opting for the latter seems like a more future-proof choice.

KitGuru says: If you're looking for a stylish QD-OLED gaming monitor with a white aesthetic, the MSI MPG 321URXW might be worth considering. However, if you prioritise future-proofing and cutting-edge connectivity, the MPG 322URX with its DisplayPort 2.1 capabilities is the clear winner.
