MSI is about to add two new curved gaming monitors to its portfolio – the MPG ARTYMIS 273CQR-QD and MPG ARTYMIS 273CQRX-QD. Both monitors share similar specifications, including QD Premium Color and WQHD resolution, but the maximum refresh rate differs.
Both monitors use a 27-inch VA panel with 1440p resolution, 1ms MPRT, and 1000R curvature. The MPG ARTYMIS 273CQRX-QD boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, while the non-X model features is capable of running at up to 165Hz. With a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 530nits of peak brightness, both monitors meet the requirements to be VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.
The two new MPG Artymis monitors support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and feature QD (Quantum Dot) Premium Color technology. They also come pre-calibrated, ensuring a Delta E ≤ 2, and come with sRGB (128% coverage), DCI-P3 (95% coverage), and Adobe RGB (93% coverage) colour profiles so users can choose what spectrum fits them best.
Available connectivity interfaces include DisplayPort 1.2a, 2x HDMI 2.0b ports and a USB-C port with DP alt. mode and 15W power delivery. There are also 2x USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-B 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. Both monitors also use the same stand, with VESA 100x100mm mounting, as well as swivel, tilt and height adjustment.
