Gigabyte’s next Aorus gaming monitor will boast a QD-OLED panel with impressive 360Hz refresh rate

At CES 2024, Gigabyte showcased various new displays, including the Aorus FO27Q3. The company has finally launched the product page for this monitor on their website, allowing us to look at its specifications.

The Aorus FO27Q3 is a 27-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a maximum refresh rate of 360Hz and a response time of 0.03ms. This monitor is built with a QD-OLED screen with an anti-reflective coating, and the 10-bit panel supports over 10.7 billion colours, making it a DisplayHDR True Black 400-certified monitor. Additionally, the FO27Q3 has a typical brightness of 250 nits and a contrast ratio of 15000000:1.

Gamers will be pleased to know that the Aorus FO27Q3 is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA ClearMR 13000. While G-Sync compatibility is not expressly mentioned, any adaptive sync monitor nowadays can activate G-Sync through the Nvidia Control Panel. This monitor also offers useful gaming-related features such as crosshairs, night vision, black equalizer, and picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture support.

The Aorus FO27Q3 provides multiple input options, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C with DP Alt mode compatibility and 18W power delivery. It also includes a USB-A 3.0 upstream port, two USB-A 3.0 downstream connectors, and earphone and microphone jacks. Additionally, the new Gigabyte monitor has KVM support and features a stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments. Unfortunately, there is currently no information on the price or availability of the monitor.

KitGuru says: The spec sheet appears to be very similar to Alienware's new 360Hz QD-OLED monitor, which began shipping a few weeks ago. With that in mind, they may both use the same, or a similar Samsung panel. The Alienware model currently goes for £780, so this new Aorus monitor should hit the market at around £800, if not a bit more.
