Gigabyte’s latest monitors go all-in on ergonomics

Similar to the LG Ergo series monitors, Gigabyte has introduced a new series of gaming displays coming with an ergonomic monitor arm to mount on the desk. For now, there are only two Arm Edition monitors, but this number will likely grow in the future.

These monitors are the M28U AE and M32U AE. Like the standard models, the M32U and M28U Arm Edition come with s 4K SS IPS panel with  144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Moreover, both monitors are VESA DisplayHDR 400-certified.

Other features from the standard models include the built-in KVM switch, HDMI 2.1 connectivity and a pair of 3W speakers. The only difference between the original models and the Arm Edition is the ergonomic monitor arm, allowing you to adjust the monitor freely.

The monitor arm allows you to move the monitor back and forward in a 230mm range, as well as swivel it 270º to the left or right. Moreover, you can adjust the height at which the monitor stands by 208mm, pivot it 90º (right), and tilt it from 25º to -5º. Like most monitor arms, this one uses a clamp to attach itself to the desk. At its thinnest point, the arm is only 5mm thick.

Availability and pricing weren't shared, but expect these to be more expensive than the M32U and the M28U. Considering these can be found for £680 and £500, respectively, asking an extra £50/100 for the Arm Edition seems the most likely scenario.

KitGuru says: Have you ever tried the original M28U or M32U? Do you think they're worth their price tag? How much more would you be willing to pay for the Arm Edition?
