Gigabyte shows off high-end Aorus 32-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor

Gigabyte has shared more details on the upcoming Aorus F032UP2 QD-OLED gaming monitor. What makes this monitor special is that it's one of the first to be released with DisplayPort 2.1 support, providing extra bandwidth for high resolutions at ultra-fast refresh rates.

The Gigabyte Aorus F032U2P is pretty much the same monitor as the FO32U2, with the addition of DisplayPort 2.1 support and higher bandwidth. In fact, the upcoming ultra-wide monitor also supports UHBR20 mode, offering more bandwidth than the other DP 2.1 monitors, including the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC and Asus ROG Swift PG32UQXR, which only support UHBR13.5 and UHBR10, respectively.

The upcoming monitor offers a 4K resolution, 0.03ms response time, and a 240Hz refresh rate. The panel has 10-bit colour depth, allowing it to cover 99% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Moreover, it is DisplayHDR True Black 400-certified. Features like black equalizer, various overlays, Night Vision, KVM, PiP, and PbP are also included.

It's worth noting that the FO32U2P will also have Mini-DisplayPort 2.1, as well as 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x USB-A 3.2 ports, and microphone and audio jacks. Compared to the non-P version, it will enable a USB Type-C power delivery of 65W. In addition, it packs a pair of 5W speakers and an ergonomic stand that offers tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments.

KitGuru says: Pricing and availability have yet to be shared, but considering the competition, it won't come cheap. The Asus ROG Swift PG32UQXR, for instance, costs around £1500.
